This is the procedure to find out what fonts are available on a printer.
Download the file FONTLIST.PJL from the manufacturer's web site.
Copy the FONTLIST.PJL file to a convenient location on your hard drive.
Open a DOS prompt and enter the command copy fontlist.pjl xxxx where xxxx is the serial number of your printer.
Text Processing. For complex text processing (for example, when working with PDF or PostScript files), you must be careful to set up a font list correctly. For detailed instructions, please refer to the information at the bottom of this page.
How to find out what fonts are available in an application: For the programs in the WordPerfect application suite (WordPerfect 5.1, WordPerfect 5.2, WordPerfect 7, and WordPerfect 8), use the built-in control panel to set up the default font list. For some applications (for example, the WordPerfect Dictionary) you can also set up a default font list by using the FONT.LIST control panel entry. (If you don't know how to set up a default font list, ask the manufacturer's support department for advice.)
If the downloaded file is a self-extracting.ZIP file, then, for expert users, the only advice needed is this: download the self-extracting archive to a temporary or storage directory; run the self-extracting archive from a DOS prompt in order to extract the.ALL file; move the.ALL file to your printer file directory; select your new printer in WordPerfect.
If the downloaded file is a self-extracting.tar.gz archive, then for expert users the only advice needed is this: download the self-extracting archive to a temporary or storage directory; unpack the archive in a temporary or storage directory; move the.ALL file to your printer file directory; select your new printer in WordPerfect.
This list is in alphabetical order. If you use a different alphabetical order in your chosen printer file directory, you will probably have to do a bit of research to find the drivers you need.
Printer. The driver for the printhead in my printer, the HP Deskjet 1050CD, is available for download from HP. The installer is self-extracting, which means that it contains the driver files. Read the driver's instructions carefully and follow the instructions that appear on your screen. This driver install process works best if the printer is turned off and unplugged, but in any case, do not unplug the printer cables while the driver is installing.
Answer:Download the self-extracting file that contains the driver for your printer. Select a file name and click on the Open button. After the file is downloaded, double-click on the file to extract the driver. You will need to click on the Open button to get the driver to install properly. 827ec27edc
